EGHAM, STAINES & WRAYSBURY COMMITTEE

Firstly, let me thank all local residents who give us such wonderful support at all our fund raising events. Our bottle tombola at the Wraysbury Fair raised £500 and we were very lucky to receive £650 from the Joe Loss Dance held at the Hall in September. With our Christmas Fair to come and a collection day at the Elmsleigh Centre in December we are on course for a record breaking year.

We have been informed by Head Office that since 1992 our small committee has raised £110,000 not bad for a handful of people. Of course, we were active long before that - how many of you can remember the lovely Gwen & Alan Davies who really got us going in this area and ‘enrolled’ me in (about) 1986. My, where does the time go!

Please continue with your very generous support as the need for Macmillan Nurses seems to grow all the time and who knows when we made be grateful for help and guidance.
